DR MICHAEL MAY
A graduate of Sydney University, Michael has over 30 years of experience in family dentistry in Forestville. Having grown up and lived in the area, he knows the needs of the community intimately. He has always maintained a passion for the profession and continuing education.
Michael commenced placing implants over 10 years ago, and this has become a keen interest in his practice of dentistry.
Michael enjoys the wide variety of procedures offered by being a general pracititoner. Taking a patient from pre-school through to being an adult, free of restorations, is one of the most rewarding achievements of dental practice for him.
Outside the office, Michael enjoys watersports, tinkering in his garage and spending time with his family that now includes grandchildren!
DR STEPHEN JABOUR
B.D.S (Hons) USyd, Grad. Diploma Oral Implants CSU
Stephen graduated from Sydney University with honours in 1999 and continues to enjoy all aspects of dentistry, especially the interaction with new and existing patients. He prides himself on providing quality comprehensive dental treatment to the whole family in a caring and professional manner. Stephen's calm and gentle nature makes him easily approachable which helps to put the nervous patient at ease.
Stephen is passionate about keeping up to date with the latest techniques and materials and regularly attends courses to update his knowledge. In 2013 he completed a graduate diploma in dental implants as well as becoming an Invisalign certified provider.
A couple of years after graduation, Stephen travelled and practiced dentistry in London for 8 years before returning in 2011. When not working, recreation time is spent with his wife and three daughters, a spot of gardening and the occasional round of golf.
DR LAWRENCE STEARN
B.D.S.(Hons) USyd B.Sc.(Hons) UWales
Originally from Cardiff, Wales, Lawrence migrated to Australia after originally obtaining an Honours degree in Geology. He graduated from Sydney University in Dentistry with Honours and was awarded the final year prize for prosthetic dentistry.
Lawrence has over 10 years experience in clinical dentistry both in Australia and the UK. He has completed over 300 hours of continuing education programs. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a special interest in endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery and implant dentistry.
Outside of the office, Lawrence enjoys time with his young family, travelling, surfing, golf, camping, fishing and is a keen home renovator.
DR PAYAM YAZDANI
B.Dent. (Sydney Uni) B.Med. Sci. (Uni NSW)
Payam is a member of the Australian Dental Association, and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. He regularly takes part in continuing dental education programs in the profession. Payam enjoys all aspects of dentistry with special interests in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry, pain free dentistry and pain management, root canal therapy, prosthetic dentistry to replace or reconstruct damaged, lost or missing teeth, crowns and bridges, dentures both full and partial, and oral surgery.
As part of his dental training Payam spent two years in clinical practice in the public hospital system including the Westmead Centre for Oral Health at Westmead hospital and the Sydney Dental Hospital in the CBD before moving into private dental practice on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore.
Payam came to Sydney as a young child and grew up in the Hills and North Shore areas. He attended school at Baulkham Hills Selective High School, and then completed a Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of New South Wales where his major areas of study were biochemistry, molecular biology and immunology. He continued his education at the University of Sydney graduating from Dentistry.
Payam has been active in the dental treatment and care of young children. He has given talks and visited schools and child care centres, raising awareness about paediatric oral health in the community.
He has also enjoyed attending nursing homes and retirement communities giving oral health education to staff and caregivers on proper dental care for residents.
When not practicing dentistry, Payam likes to spend time with family and friends. He travels when he can and enjoys anything to do with being on and around the water. Payam is a movie buff and enjoys good food.
