ORAL WELLBEING FOR PRE-SCHOOLERS

Pre-school children are particularly encouraged to come along for a visit to one of our Dentist's by age 2.  Our dentists will happily provide a “ride and look", that's a ride on the dental chair and a look in a child's mouth....child permitting! This can be organised as a stand alone appointment or even better, at a parent’s or school-age sibling's Examination visit.

Just like a visit to see Santa, it can take a season or two for the little ones to become comfortable with letting a masked and gloved adult look into their mouths. Usually by age 5-6, with regular attendance (every 6-12 months) they’re acclimatized and in fact excited, which makes it much easier and more fun all round to carry out important preventive procedures.

At Dentists on Starkey our aim is to maintain our young patients with a decay-free mouth.

Good oral health for children is easy to achieve once you as parents know how!

We can teach you the tips and tricks once we've assessed your child's mouth and needs.

Dentists on Starkey participate in the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) for eligible children. Find out more about our CDBS services here.
