Restorative (Fillings)

RESTORATIONS (FILLINGS)

Restorations or fillings are materials that are used to replace tooth structure lost due to dental decay or traumatic tooth loss. They can range in size and complexity from the very small and simple, to the very large and complex.

Early detection of dental decay via regular oral Examinations with your dentist keeps fillings small, simple and inexpensive.

Dentists on Starkey dentists most commonly use tooth-coloured composite, glass ionomer or porcelain materials. Gold and precious metal alloys are also used on occasion.

The right choice of filling material for the right situation will be discussed with you at your Examination appointment.

Amalgam is not used at Dentists on Starkey.
